Welcome!
I'm Michelle.
I'm a cookbook author, chocolatier, and passionate advocate for healthy, plant-based cooking. From the sun-kissed beaches of California to the stunning landscapes of Jasper Highlands, Tennessee, I’ve embraced a love for creating clean, flavorful dishes that bring joy to the table.
As a Certified Brain Health Professional, and a Certified Health Coach, along with a sub-specialty in Gut Health, my work is focused on the power of whole foods and cooking with purpose.
And cooking? It’s the ultimate expression of care—a way to show you’ve poured your heart into every bite. Even more importantly, it’s about enjoying calories, not counting them, because life is too short not to savor every bite. Join me in my kitchen and discover recipes that not only satisfy your taste buds but also inspire you to embrace a healthier, more mindful approach to food. Let’s savor the goodness of life, one delicious recipe at a time.
Where's Honey?
Available Now!
Where’s Honey? is a Mom’s Choice Awards® Gold Honoree picture book that tenderly explores love, imagination, and staying connected—even when someone you love is far away.
Arthur and his grandma, Honey, share magical days dancing in the kitchen, chasing moonbeams through the garden, and looking under rocks for tiny slugs and shiny bugs. But when Honey moves away, Arthur wonders… Where’s Honey?
Through rockets, stars, and magical thinking, Arthur discovers that love can always find its way back home. The story becomes a powerful social-emotional learning (SEL) tool, helping children give words to big feelings, while reminding them they are never truly alone.
Perfect for children ages 4–8, this beautifully illustrated book blends poetic storytelling with gentle calming techniques. Families facing military deployments, adoption transitions, or any kind of separation will find it especially comforting.
Every copy includes a QR code linking to free companion resources—activities and therapeutic tools that act like “training wheels” for caregivers, giving them simple ways to support emotional resilience without feeling they must have all the answers.
Where’s Honey? goes beyond the page, opening the door for families to imagine, play, and heal together. Read More
Kids have big emotions, but so do adults, and that's where children's literature can come in to help kids process their emotions
and, help their parents facilitate that processing. As a children's book author, writing stories to start these conversations is a big responsibility to carry! Michelle De La Mora is one such author who used her own experiences with her grandson to not only write a gorgeous story about separation and love, but also to create companion materials adults can use to connect with the kids in their lives.
