Best Cranberry Ginger Tea Ever

Cranberries improve your circulatory system, relieve asthma symptoms, plus reduce bacteria in the urinary tract, alleviating urinary tract infections.
Yields 2 servings
Recipe Inspired by my dear friend Jeannie Gagney.
Ingredients
16 ounces (2 cups) water
½ cup organic fresh cranberries
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, peeled and finely grated
3 star anise
1 cinnamon stick (optional)
1 lemon, juiced
2 teaspoons honey, divided*
Directions
Slice each cranberry in half and toss them into a small saucepan along with water; bring to a boil and cook for 3 minutes. Add ginger, star anise, and cinnamon. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 8 to 10 minutes. Strain liquid with two layers of cheesecloth or a fine mesh strainer into a glass mug. Squeeze in lemon juice and stir in honey.
*Vegan option; agave or maple syrup
